Dan:
Yes, I remember, and that's why I first supposed the problem could be
with the header tank vent. But then John told us that the original header cap
with the exposed wire float vents through the same hole the wire passes
through, so, I'm now thinking that the problem is not there.

Thank you very much for your answer.

Recently one member had an off airport landing due to rpm drop.
Turned out to be a bug in the vent hole of the header tank.
Check and make sure your vent hole is open.

Thank you very much for you response !

As I wrote today in another mail, I am trying to find out what is happening
with a friend´s coupe.
Yesterday I took a photograph of the fuselage cap, and for what you explained,
it should be OK.

I attached the picture here just to show you how it looks.

Best Regards

Daniel:

All header tanks must have a fuel gauge. This is your primary fuel supply.  And
yes, regardless of the cap, the header must be vented.

If you have the original header cap with the exposed wire float the cap vents
through the same hole the wire passes through.  If you have the Skyport
Rain-pruf gauge with the enclosed float there is a small hole in the leading
edge of the fuel cap that connects to the inside of the cap.

Hi all,

I was re-reading all the messages involving the venting issue, and I
wonder if any of you could send a detailed photograph of the air vent of the
fuselage tank.

And one more question just to see if I understood: The fuselage tank has always
an air vent (in all models), no matter if a fuel gauge is present. Is that true
?

Thank you very much !
