Hi all, I posted this once, but so far no real progress;my radio is clear on the ground, but at 100' or so, it just starts with the most deafening static that is constant. I have adjusted the squelch to nothing, and nothing helps. The only time this noise stops is when I fiddle with the PTT button. IT stops for a brief time, but restarts again immediately. I have the Icom 6-a radio, Dave Clark headsets and an intercom. I wonder, can a low battery on the Icom radio cause this. This is a new problem, and the only new thing I have done to the plane is we cleaned the mags and put new points in. Any help is appreciated, because this was a perfect comm set up until last week.
