Somewhere out there is a 337 or maybe even an STC to use the stock Cleveland
brakes from a 150 or 152.  Should be plenty of those in junkyards.  See if
someone at the type club has the info.

Subject: [ercoupe-tech] Properly inflated tires and Goodyear brakes

I learned yesterday that the performance of my Goodyear brakes is worse than I
have previously thought. I was able to hold Coupe only up to 1500 to do the mag
check in the past. However with properly inflated tires, that is no longer the
case. I can hardly hold it at 1000 rpm. Having suffered through the economic
drain (and emotional flogging) of my annual inspection and yet continuing radio
problems, I don't like to think about a reasonably expensive (and maybe
necessary) conversion to Cleveland brakes. I know this is an often repeated
topic here, but does anyone have any inexpensive solutions to the Goodyear
brake problem?

Thanks.
