Hey Nick: You already have been given the advice about lubricating and
pulling out the center cable. I would recommend removing the tail cone, and
spraying liquid wrench, or some other form of penetrating oil on to as much of
the trim cable housing as you can. I generally find that the problems are
in the tail. Also, when you install the new wire, lubricate the entire
length with GREASE prior to inserting it into the sheath. ( I do this with a
small brush, and put the grease on about a foot at a time prior to shoving
that portion into the sheath)
You can order the trim wire from Skyport (800 624 5312 or UNIVAIR 888
433 5433)

My trim is siezed and I am not sure it is the proper part. The cable is a
wraped steel shroud, with a single wire running through the center.Looks
like an old (long) lawnmower throttle cable. Does that sound right. I thought
there were several pieces of tubing and possibly a multi strand cable.
Also how do you undo the clamps inside. I am 260 # and 6'2" . Do I prop up the
tail and lay something down inside , or inlist the services of a skinny
little " crack head " . Nick 94175
