Hi Linda,
Add my name to the list of people who recommend that opening the windows should be part of your emergency landing checklist.? It may be a good idea on take off as well,? but I keep mine closed.? I could be wrong, but the thinking is that having the windows closed means a bit less drag. On take off, I want to do everything I can to optimize performance. Once I reach a comfortable altitude, my windows always come open.? I like to keep one of the panels centered above my head.? The large openings on both sides provide roughly the same ambiance, with the benefit of not losing my ball cap when I look up. Cheers, Bill Linda said: Should "open window" then be added to an emergency landing checklist? Prof Ed said:? I may consider doing all my take offs and landings as a precaution with windows down
