Add my name to the list of people who recommend that opening the windows should 
be part of your emergency landing checklist.? It may be a good idea on take off 
as well,? but I keep mine closed.? I could be wrong, but the thinking is that 
having the windows closed means a bit less drag. On take off, I want to do 
everything I can to optimize performance.











Once I reach a comfortable altitude, my windows always come open.? I like to 
keep one of the panels centered above my head.? The large openings on both 
sides provide roughly the same ambiance, with the benefit of not losing my ball 
cap when I look up.
