Gary, Ram Mounts are best Another method I used for years is to loosen the two top screws on an instrument you seldom use.( In my case it was an angle of attack indicator,) and hook a stiff wire between them. Now just hook the handheld clip over the wire.Easily removable. Even plug in connections from the external antenna, intercom , headphones, and power are easily accessible.
