When you get the mount off the airframe. try lining up the mounting holes with the engine. You will probably notice no difference, but it is possible you will get it to fit. If so, then all you have to do is hang the mount back on the Airframe with the engine attached! you will most likely find that the mount will not fit the airframe now. Lynn Nelsen

You may not have noticed it whe you removed the engine, but it must have been there. My suggestion is to remove the mount from the airframe and set it on a level surface, then measure the mount points. The correct measurements can be found in the Continental overhaul manual. If it measures correctly off the airframe then the mount itself is likely OK and the boot cowl area has a problem, otherwise (more likely) the mount is bent. Concentrate on the nose gear area. Remember, there are no curved tubes in the mount.. John
