When Fred was experimenting with flaperons, he used rudders that moved outboard and inboard equally. He mentioned this sometime back during his talk at one of our National Conventions. I can't remember if the flaperon development was on a two place Ercoupe or on the experimental four place. It would have been easy enough to have the rudder shaped to allow equal inboard movement and adjust the up travel a tiny amount (if that's even needed) to get the desired elevator action. Ed
