And, when you are removing the rudder pedals, make sure the rudder cables end up correctly rigged. I occasionally hear of Coupes with squirrelly landing and takeoff behavior due to the rudder cables not being correctly hooked up.
As I recall, the rudder cables must cross on the way to the rear of the plane. See the Surface controls and rigging instructions in the Service Manual (available from Skyport http://ercoupeparts.com ). Remember that I'm not any kind of mechanic and must not play one on the Internet. Ed
