When my wife made the "Ercoupe Quilt" with pictures of  member's Coupes taken
at various EOC Conventions, we were advised by the EOC Club Counsel to get
signed releases from those members whose Coupes' pictures would be used on the
quilt. This was done in order to prevent trouble down the road. Not that any
Coupe
Club member would have a problem, but just to be on the safe side. The quilt
was then auctioned at the 2007 convention in Wayne, Ne. and the money donated to
the Fred Weick Scholarship Fund.

Ed, thank you very much for all the work that you have done to promote the
Ercoupe. I have read much of your work on the 'Coupe and really appreciate all
your very well thought out and dedicated work. I am by no means a wealthy
Canadian, but were a Video of the 'Coupe Family be produced I would certainly
want to purchase a copy. I look forward to seeing how this can come about.

Anyone who doesn’t get releases signed is a piddling amateur.  Getting
signatures on a release IS standard for anyone in the industry and Don
certainly is a professional in the video production industry.

AND Don is a long-time Ercoupe owner and lover.  Can you imagine how nice it’d
be to have a well done, high production quality, factually accurate video “out
there” about Coupes?

If I were planning to sell an album of pictures of Coupes and people or a book,
pamphlet or whatever, charging something to defray part of the costs, I’d be
getting releases signed, too.

That’s a proper and good thing.

I hope we can all help Don produce this program.  If he could ever sell it for
enough to make a profit, then great.  He’s taking the financial risk.

I’ll be happy to provide what help I can.  This may be our only chance to ever
get a quality video done.  If I were on the board of directors, I’d make a
motion that the club invest what’s needed to make copies and provide useful
documents and assistance so this video can have FACTUALLY CORRECT content.

I hope all of you who can help, will.
