I have the Lightspeed and works perfectly. Also had an older David Clark
converted with the ANR kit for $ 150 and I cannot tell the difference between
the 2 except the DC is much heavier.
To eliminate alot of the sun, we have the extra overhead panel in the Coupe
with tint film and it reduces a lot of sun and glare. May be a little difficult
to get in and out but sun is reduced. Also with the top canpy in place and the
2 side windows down there is very little wind and noise is reduced. A large
brim hat can still be worn.
As far as no intercom, I used to fly an Aeronca Champ with no electrical and
just bought a 2 headset portable intercom, operated by a 9 vt battery and it
worked perfectly for several years. I have seen these in other Coupes also.
My wife also has a license and she prefers a lighter headset. So on EBAY I
bought a Telex type that just uses the earplugs and that was a bad mistake.
Noise was not reduced and the mike created additional wind noise, even with the
mike muff and squelch fine tuned.

Yeah, but wouldn't it be nice to not need them? Especially if the plane
doesn't have a navcom or intercom, which the one I'm looking at doesn't?
And, as Linda does, my wife will want a sun hat in that greenhouse of a
cockpit.
