If you are using the fuel caps with the sight tubes from glass, then the caps
that close the top of these tubes are most likely cracked.

It is not easy to find a cap substitute, but closing the top will solve your
problem. The low pressure over the tubes creates these bubbles.

Subject: [ercoupe-tech] fuel in sight tube

Tonight, I had fuel bubbling up into my sight tube on the wing tank. This is
the first time ever this has happened. Also, the last 2 flights, I have a tiny
amount of fuel leaking out of the vented cap on the header tank. I flew the
pattern 3 times tonight, and the fuel did the same thing all 3 times. I did
have full fuel, but still, I have never seen this before. Any ideas?
Gary
