Recovering the wings "ain't rocket science" However it is time consuming and 
must be signed off by a mechanic with an Inspection authorization.

If you can find an IA who will work with you and supervise your work, yes you 
can do the work your self.

Once the old cover is off, the wing structure itself must be inspected and any 
required repairs completed.

The covering process itself is simplified in as much as no rib stitching is 
needed. The cover is held to the ribs with screws.

Poly Fiber has a pretty complete How-to manual and a video available as do 
others  I havn't tried the new Stewart Brothers system but understand it's fume 
free and easy to apply.

That's my 2 cents worth.
