The leading edge that came out of a metalized wing ended just short under the
curvature at the nose of the leading edge. It's riveted to another sheet metal
that reaches down to the lower spar cap.

Can it be that the Forneys and Alons are having one piece leading edges?

However, it seems to me that the leading edge can be used the as is when you
metalize .... or am I wrong?

Hey Hartmut: I should have specified that the leading edge starts at the upper
spar cap and goes around to about 2 or 3 inches short of the lower spar cap.

Lynn. I can't follow here. Are we talking upper spar cap or lower spar cap?

Hey Mike: You are correct. The fabric wing uses a shorter metal leading edge
that stops about 2 inches from the spar. The metal covered wings leading edge
goes all the way to the spar.
