A caution I've long heard applies to changing wings from fabric to
metalized.

On the underside of the leading edge, the Ercoupe's airfoil has a small
concavity. This concavity is important to the low speed / stall
characteristics of the Ercoupe's wing. Some people converting the wing
to metalized fail to make the new leading edge metal conform to the
correct shape.

If you are converting Coupe wings or have wings that have been metalized
(as opposed to coming that way from the factory), you should check to
see if the underside of your leading edge has this concavity.
