Hi everyone,

We have started the recover of the Ercoupe wings. There were a few suprises
when we opened them up including a hidden animal nest forward of the spar by
the tip resulting in severe corrosoin to the outer spar and ribs and an outer
spar on the left wing that had been hammered straight after an impact with
something. $1300 at Univair later we are Cleco'd and we are epoxy priming teh
structure, almost ready for fabric.

The question comes with the attaching of the fabric at the aileron bay. Other
than the normal glue joints and seams called out in the manuals, there is some
form of stitching along the top and bottom of the bay. I have not been able to
locate any information on how this is supposed to be done. I am still trying
to find our service manual but was wondering if anyone had some insight as to
how this is supposed to be done. Univair was not able to give any information.

Thanks very much,
