With the airliner style quadrant you should hear and feel clicks when
throttling up and down.

If you get these clicks, you should not experience the creep. If you don't the
ratchet mechanism inside the quadrant might be worn or is missing the spring.

The parts catalogue has a drawing of that.

Subject: [ercoupe-tech] throttle creep

Guys , I can use a little help on this one. I have an upgraded 85 (0200 stc) in
my 415cd. My problem is that the throttle creeps about two hundred RPM no
matter where it is set . I have a high enough serial # that my throttle and
trim is in a quadrant on the panel. I think there should be a way to get a
little more friction. I just finished an annuaL and it workede fine before.
Any help would be appreciated. Can't find anything that discusses it in the
manual.

thanks
