Hey Len: The pawl that the spring pushes against the slide is made of phenolic, so it does wear out. If you are having problems now, I would order both the spring and the pawl, and after they are replaced, the throttle will work like it is supposed to. Guys , I can use a little help on this one. I have an upgraded 85 (0200 stc) in my 415cd. My problem is that the throttle creeps about two hundred RPM no matter where it is set . I have a high enough serial # that my throttle and trim is in a quadrant on the panel. I think there should be a way to get a little more friction. I just finished an annuaL and it workede fine before. Any help would be appreciated. Can't find anything that discusses it in the manual. thanks Len M. 3272h
