I had a B&C lightweight push-button starter installed on my engine when the
engine was overhauled. I have about 60 hours on it now and it works
great. The starter cranks the engine with more velocity than the original
starter, even with newly overhauled cylinders. In cold weather I used to
always prime the engine by pulling it through by hand before starting it.
Now my procedure for cold starts is three pumps with the primer, then one
quick bump on the push-button with the mags off. Then with mags on the
engine starts almost as soon as I hit the button again.

The only negative I can think of is the B&C starter needs to be installed
when the engine is out of the airplane. The shaft that the starter engages
must be shortened. That precludes the original starter ever being
reinstalled on the engine.
