I bought a Garmin Pilot III, very small unit on Ebay and have it secured on the windscreen directly under the center brace. Have it hot wired to the power supply and also installed a cigarete lighter as a backup. Works great. I had one in a Cherokee 150 for years and when I moved into Sport Pilot and Ercoupe just put that one in my flight bag as a spare and used the Ebay one for the Coupe. They are still selling them on Ebay and you can still get Garmin updates.

I have two GPS handhelds mounted on the panel - simply put the GPS in a convenient spot in yoke holder but only the piece that holde the unit. _ I also connect it to the plane's power - my Lowrance 2000c firt well on the panel and I have a backup Garmin 55 as well Richard Simmons wrote: I have a Garmin 195 hand held GPS that I'm trying to find a convenient location in my 415C. Other than having my wife hold it in her lap, do you folks have a suggestion? It's supposed to mount on the yoke in front of the wheel & then hang centered in front of the wheel. That's pretty uncomfortable for me.... Thanks, Dick S. -- Steven M.
