  You've gotten a lot of good advice.  Just pay some attention to it, and ask 
this forum Any Question Whatsoever.  There are lots of smart persons here who 
will share their thoughts and information.
  Where you located?  Being within shouting distance of a real Ercouper puts 
you way ahead.  
  I also started out in a Cessna; a 150 in my case.  Transition to the `coupe 
was not hard at all.
  So learn all you can, and if you're anywhere around SE Alabama give me a 
shout.
