Ed is right, you want Plexi for the rear windows. They'll last longer.

Lexan is less brittle and less prone to break. But, how often do the rear windows break? Not often, I think. Lexan is also much more easily scratched. Wearing polarized sunglasses greatly reduces reflections from the inside of the windows, reflections that show you the inside of your plane rather than the view outside. Lexan makes for weird rainbows and patterns of dark areas as the material’s optics interact with the polarization. Lexan can even give distortion to your view when you look directly through it. Plexiglas has no optical distortion, no problem with polarization and is harder to scratch. For me, I’d definitely choose Plexiglas for my rear windows. (And side windows and windshield. That’s just me.) Oh, yeah, Plexiglas is much easier to break out if you ever get trapped in a flipped airplane. With Lexan, forget it. I don’t know if the windows they sell precut would fit your plane. Do you know for sure that your window holes are original? You do have the old-style, slightly smaller windows with a gazillion fasteners around the rim, don’t you? (If you have the larger rear windows with only the rubber grommet around to hold it in place, you’d better cut the new windows to match the old – they may or may not be exactly standard.) If I missed on any of this, will you experts please comment. I'm trying to locate where to purchase clear Lexon for the right rear of my "G" coupe. (please not Home Depot- I want it pre cut to size) I checked with Univair and they only have Plexiglas. I was told that Lexan is better by many in the groupe ????
