Go buy some of those chemical hand warmers they sell at Bass Pro Shops. They
look like big tea bags (cheap) and are a one-time use item but they last for
about 5 hours. Put a couple in your jacket pockets to keep you warm and you
can put your hands in your pockets periodically to warm them up. They also
make a version that sticks to the toes of your socks to keep your feet warm. I
used them to ferry an Ercoupe with the heater inop (valve) from Iowa (below
freezign temps) a couple of years ago. Stayed nice and warm.
