I have a 1946 415C with a 85HP engine (converted from 75HP). I have the short
plugs on top with the canisters and want to install the tall standard plugs on
the top but I do not want to have the cowling extensions. We think if we use a
harness with 90 degree connections we could today install standard plugs on the
top in three cylinders. But we can see no way to do that on #4 cylinder. We
would still have to take the prop and nose cowling off to install or remove the
plug from #4. I realize you can get at #4 plug with the nose cowling loose and
without removing the prop, but we end bending the nose cowling so we remove
prop and nose cowling. Does anyone know a good way to use the standard long
plugs on top of all 4 cylinders without installing the cowling extensions?
Thanks, Dennis
