Hello to the group. This is my first post. I recently purchased an Ercoupe 415C, N93888, with rudder pedals. My mechanic is going through all the inspections and AD's for a current annual.
The current brake "pedal" consists of a short, 2" to 3" long rectangular metal column -- it looks like someone simply cut the original brake column off. It seems that it would be hard to find the foot brake and/or your shoe might slip off of it. We were thinking of putting an automotive emergency brake rubber fitting over this. Do others with rudder pedals have a similar short and small brake? I'm sure I will have other questions. Thanks Bill
