I finally got my Ercoupe delivered to me today. On the way here the A&P/IA who flew it down encountered a no charge situation. He landed, pulled the low time generator and regulator and had them checked. They checked out perfect, and he found an intermittent connection on the master switch contacts that connect the field of the generator to the field terminal on the regulator, and replaced the master switch. Started and charged, was sure it was fixed. Several days later the weather cleared up, and when he started up - no charge! He flipped the master off and back on a time or two and it commenced to charge. This morning on the final leg, same thing, it would not show charge until he flipped the master off and back on, then charge showed. Has anyone had this problem or can shed some light on it? Regulator and master are new now.
