My windows slid out of the slot at the top of the (bubble) windshield channel.
It was tight and it took a fair amount of pressure. The instructions for the
new welt said to remove the inner panels, but I found that was not necessary
after going through the pain of removing one inner panel. The old welting
pulled out fairly easily. It had been installed incorrectly, "inside out."
The new welting is installed in a way you wouldn't think, with the small felt
piece on the outside, away from the window glass. Follow the illustrations
with the welt.

I was able to use a flexible pick-up tool with a claw type end to grasp the end
of the new welt and guide it down the channel as I pushed it in from the top.
I used a "springy" metal yard stick periodically to push the welt into the
channel and I spot glued the welt at the bottom end and every six inches or so
in the top channel.

A few pieces of folded cardboard box held the welt tight to the channel until
the glue dried.

The new welts seem to work well.
