I'm thinking your whole plane is over 60 years old. Why single out the mags as being too old to fly.?
Nothing wrong with Eisemann mags, however, it is getting more difficult to find suitable replacement parts. 60 year old condensors are not like 60 year old aluminum.
No recurring AD's on the new Slicks. There is a 500 hour inspection, but it is not mandated by AD, just common sense. Unfortunately, when Champion took Slick over from Unison, they doubled the numbers on the price sheet.
