The trim wire froze in place on my Coupe and is bending at the cockpit end as I move the knob back and forth. I can get it to move in the cable by using a pliers but the knob is ineffective, The bend in the wire looks to be permanent and I suppose it should be replaced. Can I simply lubricate the conduit by, say, spraying silicon through it and replace just the wire? Or should I replace the entire assembly?
