Replacing the entire assembly is very time consuming. In most cases it is good enough to pull the wire and clean , lubricate and reinsert. Most problems aare caused by corroded or kinked cable housings, especially in the end where the wire is guided through the elevator. More to that here: http://www.ercoupe.info/?n=Main.ElevatorTrim So I suggest pull the wire, straighten and clean and put it back in. If luck has it , all works fine, if not you'll need a new wire. I can get it to move in the cable by using a pliers but the knob is ineffective, The bend in the wire looks to be permanent and I suppose it should be replaced. Can I simply lubricate the conduit by, say, spraying silicon through it and replace just the wire? Or should I replace the entire assembly? _________________________________________________________________ Hotmail: Free, trusted and rich email service. https://signup.live.com/signup.aspx?id=60969
