Hi All... This might seam a bit of a stretch but here goes it. I have an military ANR headset I would like to convert to Civ Stds and use in our 'Coupe, (Okay I'm half def now from working on the flight line). I put a new David Clark mic on it but I need to increase the impedence of the earphones from 8-300 ohms. I found an internet article describing how to DIY increase the impedence, and a kit to do so. When contacted, the author of the article siad his company didn't sell the kit any more and basically just said "Radio Shack' should have it. I believe what I am looking for is an audio transformer to go from 8ohms-300ohms. I plan on mounting this in a smalll projects box, inline with the audio in wires, and the applicable plugs and jacks. I've been looking on the internet for just such an audio transformer, but honestly, I really don't know what I'm looking for. I guess I should have stayed awake during the electronics portion of my Air Force training. The other problem is that I live about 3 hours from a major city, so mail order would have to be a consideration. I know its a bit off topic but any help or assistance would be greatly appreciated.
