Mac and everyone,

Lost tools and hardware are a real problem. When we took everything out of the
airplane, we found a couple files and a small wrench. Even with the whole seat
assembly removed, I'm having nuts, washers, and small bolts dropping into the
gaps on the sides of the floorboards and the opening for the control quadrant.
I've been using an air gun to blow anything that lands in front of the main
spar through the opening between the spar and belly skin and fishing around
with a magnet on a wire to get anything out that falls through the cracks. A
FOD-free Ercoupe is safer than one with junk in the belly!
