Good luck with your project.  My coupe has two beads on the panel.  Im not sure
if its structual or for looks?  doesnt look like it makes a lot of
difference.   On taking off my panel due to wrinkling I found Zero corrosion
but something I think is just as bad a cracked rear spar.  Looks likethey hit
the wing on sometthing and jammed the spar wrinkling it and a 1 in crack in the
bottom about 2 inches fromthe end.  Im not sure what to do now not sure if it
could be reinforced or is would have to replace..  Never by a coupe without a
prebuy  i learned my lesson.

Does anyone know where to purchase a rear spar>>''

James

Thanks for all those who replied to my belly skin issues.

I will deal with a couple of issues.

1. Yes I fly under Owner Maintenance rules, and as such the plane
is not elligible to be registered in the U.S. Its not a problem
for me since I do not plan to sell anytime soon and there are lots
of buyers this side of the border. FAA is apparently also allowing
OM planes to fly in the states, as part of the LSA quid-pro-quo to allow LSA's
to fly in Canada.

2. Does anyone know what the difference in the zero-to-three bead panels is.
Under the OM rules I can choose which one I want to go with, but not sure since
all types were made. Is there a difference
structurally?

3. Thanks for pointing out the pics on the ercoupe.info website.

4. It looks like the belly skin is .025. I have not put my micrometer on it yet
but it sure felt like .025 to me when I began taking it off.

5. Does anyone know how I would get in touch with Dave (who took the pics.) I
would like to ask some more questions and perhaps have a converstation with him.

Thanks

Steve
