Hey Mac: The Coupes all came with felt glued to the cowling which the
baffles came up against and cut off/ reduced the airflow. I have added baffle
material to several coupes by trimming the original baffles and adding a
rubber strip held on with screws and a strip of aluminum. I just copied the
Alon method of putting the rubber on. The hardest place is where the rubber on
the side baffle goes around the corner in the rear of Cylinder #1 or #2.
Alon folded the corner over and fastened the end of the rubber baffle to the
rear metal baffle with two screws and washers. I do not know how to
describe it except that when you raised the side cowl you would see this
rubber
laying in place at about the height of the rear baffle and extending around
the corner.
I would suggest you get someone with an Alon to take some pictures and
then try to copy it.

I have the same problem. It is my understanding that there was NO baffle
seal as they came from the factory. Seems right to me to add some, but I
don't know exactly how to do this.

am ready to rivet the new baffling material I got from Skyport. I just
don't remember how the old stuff was installed. I can probably figure out
most of it but I would be most helpful if someone had pictures of how it is
supposed to go. Many thanks in advance.
