I got mine back today from John Wright JR, smooth and like brand new (or 
better).  That guy can surely work miracles with those old valves.
Now I have a question, what should I use for a sealant when screwing it back 
into the tank?  Somewhere I read that teflon tape is not good, will just some 
old gasket sealer do well?
