iPod? iPhone? I sometimes use my iPhone on mine. But if you have a Garmin aera series GPS you can download music into it (MP3 files) and play them through the I/C, assuming you have the GPS wired into it. That way you get audio warnings from the GPS, too. I found that audio books are nothing but frustration in the plane, since every radio call supersedes the audio and you miss part of the book!
