I am gearing
up to do the center section inspection on my 415C (#2297).

There are
two kits offered for this Service Bulletin, SB31, from Skyport:

SK-80-1
Smooth belly skin.

SK-80-2
Beaded belly skin.

My skin is
smooth.  My understanding is that the
holes for the beaded kit are smaller to fit between the beads.

My questions:

1)  Why not use the kit with the smaller holes?  I think one could still do an
adequate
inspection though a slightly smaller hole.

2)  My interior is completely gutted.  I think you could see most everything
without
any holes at all.  However, I will put
them in for future inspections.  I have
heard that some of the holes really are not required to see everything?

3)  $270 is a lot of money to spend for some
plates and re-enforcing rings.   If you
got a really cool template and the cutting tool, it might be okay, but you do
not.  Is it possible to source these
parts without buying the kit?

Thanks to
the group.
