Hey John: I have not tried it, but if you were to put (use adhesive) a 1/16 spacer behind the pucks wouldn't that solve the problem? The other option is to install thicker brake disks. Goodyear brake assemblies have a positive stop that prevents worn pucks from contacting the disk. The more they wear the less pressure on the disk, until eventually, no braking action and no more wear.
