Hey Marty,
Good to hear from you. Just a short note to say that I am going to Oshkosh this
month on the 26th with a friend of mine on United. Wonder if you might be
flying there. See you here at Florence this summer.

Subject: [ercoupe-tech] Fw: Folding Wing DARE Coupe [4 Attachments]
[Attachment(s) from Marty Duke included below]
Here are some pics of N99764, the unique folding wing Ercoupe. It sat for
years in an open t-hangar at the Woodland, WA airport, visible as you drove by
on Interstate 5 northbound. I finally stopped one day, and shot these
pictures. Behind the hangar, I found the cool three rail trailer for it,
complete with a rotating red light in the front that was used in parades to
support the DARE program. I know it was owned by a fellow up at the Arlington,
WA airport originally, when converted, and must have been sold to someone down
near Woodland later. Sadly, all the hangars were torn down there, in the last
year, and I don't know what happened to the Coupe. The engine was off it for
awhile, and then later back in place not too long before it disappeared. One
of the pictures is from a newspaper clipping, it looked like, that was on the
hangar wall that I shot. When I saw the Coupe, the DARE paint was missing. If
you look carefully at the downsized pic I have attached at the back of the
horizontal stabilizer, you can see a stainless bracket, where the folded back
wings were hooked by a cable to hold them back in place.
