My pedal was bent the same when I bought my plane with the worthless Goodyear
brakes......Simple solution and a much safer one is go to CLEVELANDS !    Bite
the bullet.....it is well worth the money and trouble...

Subject: [ercoupe-tech] Randy's Brakes [2 Attachments]

[Attachment(s) from JThomas Terry included below]
Randy has been having some brake difficulties lately and has finally gotten his
plane to an A&P intelligent enough to ask questions.  Unfortunately he was dumb
enough to ask me!

His problem stared with worn out pads: they have been replaced.  However,
during
the time that he had little or no brakes the pedal, linkage, and other
associated parts took a lot of abuse from people pushing harder and harder on
the pedal.  What he and his mechanic need now is for someone familiar with the
pedal, linkage, and master cylinder installation to look at these photos and
offer thoughts as to why the linkage between the pedal and master cylinder
bends.  Is the cylinder mounted incorrectly?  Thanks

Tommy
