Check out these 2 websites.......

http://www.e0pc. <http://www.e0pc.com/> com/

 <http://www.pure-gas.org> www.pure-gas.org

The second lists gas stations that supposedly have ethanol free gasoline.

I believe most autogas in Michigan now contains ethanol-not good for
airplanes, boats, motorcycles, especially airplanes I think. It doesn't
matter what it says about the content on the gas pump either. Chances are
99 & 44 100's % any autogas you purchase at any gas station in Michigan will
contain ethanol. At the private gas farm on our field (45G Brighton MI) we
do have autogas without ethanol, but you have to be a member of the gas
farm to use it. It is managed by one of our resident pilots who is also
pharmacist and knows what he is doing. He knows his particular source of
supply is ethanol free.

I don't know his source or how many sources there might still be in Michigan
where one can obtain autogas without ethanol, but I think they are rare.
I'd personally like to know just how many sources there are, and who and
where they are. I wrote to our State Senator (Nancy Casis) when our
legislature was considering making a mandatory percentage of ethanol in each
gallon of autogas. I requested that she and her colleague in the
legislature make an exception for aircraft, at least at certain locations.
I included a bunch of research as to why ethanol is not permissible in
aircraft. Usually she is quite responsible and dependable but apparently
she and her staff had no idea of what I was talking about , and I never even
got an answer from her on the subject.

You need to remove the alcohol.

sold. I am asking what would I have to change to be able to continue to use
car gas in my Ercoupe? Is it only the fuel lines that are effected? If so
can I just change them to modern type hoses and I will be ready to use that
gas in my plane? I have heard that I may have to change the valves too. What
do you know about this and has any other states done the same thing to your
state? My plane runs so much better on 87 octane Regular Gas that I hate to
have to start putting in that 100LL again. It just hates it and does not run
half as good. I get better performance and milage out of the 87 Octane than
I ever did on 100 LL. I sure hope that there is a way for me to continue to
fly using the new stuff with the Ethanol in it. Thanks for any comments -
