Glad you asked! It's easy and fun! And will probably only cost about $30!

We are planning a photo pass of the St. Louis Gateway Arch on Friday morning,
September 10, 2010, as part of the Ercoupe National Convention in Mount Vernon,
IL. It's about a 50-minute flight from Mount Vernon to downtown St. Louis, and
we have arranged with the Downtown tower and the local TRACON to fly past the
arch in single file with a helicopter hovering east of the Arch taking photos.
So you will have a photo of your airplane with the Arch and downtown St. Louis
behind and below. The shot will be from above, so be sure to smile and wave as
you pass by...

If we get 15 airplanes interested, the cost will be $30 per airplane. We will
sign people up as they arrive at the convention.

NOTE: We will deliver your high-resolution picture (18 megapixel), along with
some other convention pictures, on a CD the week after the event by mail. You
can then use the digital image on any medium you choose - photograph, poster,
coffee mug, whatever.

We will also be landing at St. Louis Downtown Airport (KCPS) for lunch right
after the fly-by. Of course you have the option of turning east and heading
back to KMVN. When you pass in front of the Arch you will already be in their
Class D airspace.

Any questions, please contact Bert Hampton at [email protected] - he is
working with ATC on setting this up. Many thanks to him for this!

Lots of exciting things planned for the convention!
