The period is a pretty common statement separator in the english language. So 
these are two related statements used together for emphasis. Not yet <stop> No 
<stop>. Both indicating that this particular task has yet to be done. ;)

so your statement does not apply. Though, yes I am still the master of the 
double negative. :P
