Hi Beny,
Follow these steps:
1. Open Landsat Imagery in ER Mapper
2. From the main menu select:
Edit -> Edit/Create Regions...
A window will appear titled "New Map Composition"
Select "OK"
The "Tools" Menu will appear.
3. From the "Tools" menu select the "Polygon" icon.
4. Define a region around your research area.
5. From the "Tools" menu select the "Save" icon. By default this will save
the region as "Region_0" to the Landsat Imagery's .ers header file.
6. Close the "Tools" menu.
7. Open the Algorithm Dialog box from the main menu by selecting:
"View -> Algorithm"
8. Under the "Layer" tab within the Algorithm Dialog box, open the "Formula
Editor" by selecting the "Edit Formula" (E=mc2) icon.
For each layer within the "Formula Editor" window, select "Standard ->
Inside Region Polygon Test". The following formula will appear inside the
formula window:
IF (INREGION(r1)) THEN Input1 ELSE NULL
Next select the "Regions" check-box and next to "Region1:" select "Region_0"
from the drop-down list.
Click the "Apply changes" button for each layer
Close the "Formula Editor"
9. Save the dataset as an ER Mapper raster dataset.
10. Use this ER Mapper raster dataset as input to the Classification module.

Subject: Classification inside poligon area
Dear all,
I need to classificate Landsat imagery from vegetation index transformation
only inside poligon (rubber estate). My research area is rounded by other
estate(Rubber, palm etc).
My problem is .... How do classificate only on researh are (poligon) which
non rectangular shape on center image ?
How to crope non rectangular imagery ?
Please tell me ... what i have to do ?
