We are a photogrammetric firm based in Seoul Korea.

I am writing this email to inquire if there are any organisation or photogrammetric
firm which would be interested in outsourcing orthophoto production to our company.

1) Major Project Experience

Last year, we have managed to compile and produce orthophotos of Seoul Metropolitan
(1,800 B/W aerial photos of scale 1/5,000 scanned at 21um). We used existing digital
maps of scale 1/1,000 to produce the DEM.
This year we are producing 'True Orthophotos' (I would say 'orthophotos partially
corrected using refined DEM') for road intersections and high rise buildings.
We have an inhouse program which is capable of doing this.

2) Software Used for Production

We use various software for routine production such as ;
ER-Mapper, ERDAS, OrthoBase, OrthoMaster(from Inpho), OrthoVista (from StellarCore)
and MrSID compression software. We use BINGO for AT and we have three DPWs (2 Summit
Evolution from DatEM and one ImageStation from Intergraph). We are also evaluating
Match-AT, which I think is excellent.
Our two Intergraph Photoscan TD film scanners are linked with 1 TerraByte RAID system,
and 9.4 Gigabyte DVD-RAM is our preferred storage media for delivery.

3) Orthophoto Production Personnel Qualification

I lead a team of 12 highly educated personnels within the GIS Business Unit of our
company. Our team is comprised of people with 2 PhD's, 8 MSc's and 2 Technical College
graduates.
I myself completed my PhD from University of Glasgow, Scotland in photogrammetry.
My team has programming skill in C++, Visual Basic, Delphi, MapObject and Web
programming. Their background includes, photogrammetry, GPS surveying and satellite
imagery handling.
My team, although a research institute, has full production capabilities regarding
orthophoto production. I was the project manager for the production of digital
orthophoto mosaic of Seoul Metropolitan, last year and this year as well. I believe it
is more effective to do research and development activities while carrying out a real
life project.

4) The GIS Business Unit

Our GIS business Unit is comprised of about 150 personnels which is organised into the
following structure;

Aerial Photography and Photograph Processing Team : 1 Cessna Caravan, 1 RC-30 camera,
1 Colex Color Processing Unit (Brand New), Applanix DG-510 GPS/INS unit
Photogrammetry Team : 5 Analytical Plotters, 3 Analog-Encoder Plotters, 3 Digital
Photogrammetric Workstation
Surveying Team : 10 Trimble GPS Surveying Set
Digital Cartographic Editing Team : 30 Workstation with AutoCad, Microstation and
Arcview

Of course there are Sales and Marketing Team, Management team beside the Research
Institute that I am leading at present.

Thank you.
