Adam,
I requested a similar change perhaps a year
ago. The only response was essentially, was not helpful from ERMapper,
learn to modify the code of some such. I hope comments are being
included for the next update.

Carlos,
You should be able change Kilometers to Kil�metros by editing the
legendrules\scale_bar\box.ldd file in you ER Mapper directory. I'd
change all references in that file from Kilometers to Kil�metros (I believe
there are only 2) and save it as a different file name to be on the safe
side (i.e. Box_custom.ldd). You should then have an option in your
scales bar to place a the Box_custom. Let me know how this works out,
I made a lot of other edits to my files at the same time so you might
require further edits, but I won't think so.
