I am trying to customize one of the ER Mapper scale
bars so that it's units are in metres instead of kilometres. I know this
subject has come up before and I'm wondering if someone managed to do it and is
willing to share it. I've been able to customize the scale bar so that the
unit label reads Metres instead of Kilometres, however, I am unable to find the
argument that calculates the units, so the scale bar reads 1.000 instead of
1000. If anyone can point out the correct file and argument to edit to
convert these numbers from kilometres to metres I would appreciate
it.

Adam,
I requested a similar change perhaps a year
ago. The only response was essentially, was not helpful from ERMapper,
learn to modify the code of some such. I hope comments are being
included for the next update.

Carlos,
You should be able change Kilometers to Kil�metros by editing the
legendrules\scale_bar\box.ldd file in you ER Mapper directory. I'd
change all references in that file from Kilometers to Kil�metros (I
believe there are only 2) and save it as a different file name to be on
the safe side (i.e. Box_custom.ldd). You should then have an option
in your scales bar to place a the Box_custom. Let me know how this
works out, I made a lot of other edits to my files at the same time so you
might require further edits, but I won't think so.
