Qaisar: If the .dxf file you want to grid has got more than one field, the gridding wizard will ask you which one of the fields you want to use as the Z value of the gridding.
Probably the easiest solution is to assign only one field (say, 'height') to the .dxf file in the CAD or GIS software you used to digitize or to process the vector file. That field will contain the height per each of the contour lines in the dxf file. I know that ErMapper can create grid from dxf file. I did the same. But my question is that how the ERMapper will know that which field should be used for elevation value. for examle when we create grid from any satellite data, it uses the reflectance value. but when we are giveing any vector file as input how it will use values Qaisar On Thursday, October 04, 2001 at 03:19:06 AM, [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: > ---------------------------------------------------------------------- > > From: "Adam Inglis" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > Subject: Re: ERMAPPER-L Daily Digest > Date: Wed, 3 Oct 2001 10:17:13 -0700 > Reply-To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > Hi Dave, > > I followed you suggestion and changed: > > ecwp://www.earthetc.com/images/canada/canada.ecw > to > ecwp:\\www.earthetc.com/images/canada/canada.ecw > > in the algorithm and it solved the problem.
