Has anyone tried to compress GLOBE DEM data? I've run the ECW compressor (free version) on an individual tile, selecting the HDR file, and the results are pretty poor. When choosing the RGB option in the GUI, the output shows only red, as if the other bands were ignored. I would like to use compressed GLOBE tiles within ESRI's MapObjects.
