I exported both a TIFF and JPG file from ER Mapper 6.3 and
attempted to open both in Photoshop 6 to do some quick pixel editing.
Unfortunately, I was unable to open either. Photoshop said it was unable to
parse the JPG file and the TIFF (both with and without geo-reference) open
with a New Image dialog. I was finally able to open an ECW in Photoshop and save
it out. I realize with GeoTIFFs and GeoJPGs the geo-referencing is not read by
Photoshop and usually lost when saving the file. But I've not run into the
problem of opening the images in Photoshop. What am I overlooking?
